I used the Sprint upgrade at the HTC site to upgrade to 6.1. After, I still was unable to use the GPS function although I had Sprint Nav on the phone. Apparently, if you're using Vista to install your upgrade, you have to upgrade to version 6.1 of the Mobile Device Center on your PC also. I downloaded the file and re-installed 6.1 to the phone and now everything works great. I also used Sprite backup which did a great job re-installing not just my PIM but all the programs I had added. Here's the MS link for the Mobile Device Center install:

I hope this saves someone the frustration I had.

Here is the only fix I know for this... - Open Live Search - Click Menu - Click Settings - Change GPS to intermediate Driver - Click done. Try using it under Live search maps to see if it works. That should do it. Let me know if that fixes it :)

Similar Problem,
I upgraded to 6.1 and My Location on Google Maps worked fine. Then a new version of Google Maps came out and I downloaded that. Once I tried to get my location using the new Google Maps, it said that my handset doesn't have the capability to use it? Which is odd because I used it in the previous version without a problem.
When I checked the settings on Live Search it was already set at intermediate driver.
Anyone have any suggestions? My Location is a very useful tool...
