I don't use the cube portion of the Touch, but I've been looking for something better than what HTC provides for the Today screen..  I found this program on Freewarepocketpc that is pretty neat.  It's not perfect, but I like it better than what I've seen.  Follow the installation instructions.  After installation, you'll find it in your programs area. 

I've already upgraded to WM 6.1, and this works on it fine.

Spb shell is a good one.

I use spb shell as well.  The fact that the one you posted does not uninstall completely kinda scares me.  GL w/that though.
