So I left the Touch to jump the Instinct band wagon. So, far I like the Instinct but am not in love with it (i.e. no access to your memory via phone, no Window Office etc...) Even though my Touch gave me a lot of problems and I had to replace it 3 TIMES, I was still in love with it. So, What I want to know is since my June 19th departure from the Touch, has there been any major updates??? Have the phones been more reliable??? etc... I have until the 18th of July to return my Instinct for a full refund so any advice will be extremely helpful seeing as how I wouldn't mind returning to my touch but I rather get as much info as possible before I make up my mind. Thanx in advance!!!

there is supposed to be an offical ROM update coming any time now with Windows Mobile 6.1, Rev A, GPS and several other features.  There are hack updates out there, but I wouldn't do it.  Just wait for the official update and get the real deal then.

Partially correct.  It is a leaked version of the offical ROM that they have hacked up a little bit.  People are having issues with those "official" ROM updates.  Especially if they roam.  It isn't worth the hassle and problems.  Just wait a little while longer for the offical version and if anything goes wrong with it...well, it is Sprints problem to fix.

I flashed the new ROM & the only "issue" I have had was I had to reload the Navigation software & that was a 2 sec fix. 

The people who are having issues are the ones who have updated with semi custom ROMs

Software has worked fine for me.  No problem what so ever.

I knew I should have waited for the real update.  Damn!

Well, I basically decided to return my Instinct today after work and come back to my Touch. Hopefully the update happens soon. as much as I love the Touch, I had to replace it 3 times since I purchased it back in December. I hope that it won't continue to give me problems. As for the Instinct, I just simply didn't love it. It's a cool phone but it wasn't worth the $500 price tag.

Wonderful.  I just downloaded it and I no longer have roaming.  Just as I thought.  So now I don't have any high speed internet nice that was the only way I could get it.  When I go into my phone settings it only has Sprint and Automatic.  There is no longer a roaming option.

Wow. I guess I need to talk to Sprint about those roaming charges that appeared on my last bill...

Yeah, I don't have a problem roaming......1400 data minutes roaming in Canada, I can't wait to see what that bill looks like
