So I just got in the hot tub with my Sprint Touch in my pocket. Yeah, I know, not my best moment.

I've been anticipating getting an HTC Touch Diamond soon after release, but now I find myself needing a replacement phone and I don't know whether I should get some cheap throw-away to hold me over or if I should just replace my Touch.

Anyone have insight into when I might be able to get my hands on a Sprint-compatible Diamond? I wont be signing a new contract so I don't care where it comes from.

Geeze Gains, were you drunk?  Never mind.  Did you quickly remove the battery?  If you haven't done so yet, what are you waiting for?  Also, dry everything with paper towels, Q-tips, hairdrier, and be careful especially around the speakers.  Take it apart as far as you can, drying everything.  Memory card may be okay, and you just might be able to revive your touch.  If it's really totally dead, maybe Sprint insurance will help?  I wouldn't wait for Diamond.

When the Diamond announcement was made a few weeks ago the news reports I read suggested that there won't be a version compatible with US carriers until December. No word on whether Sprint will jump on it immediately or just let the Samsung Instinct be their iPhone killer.
