I assumed it was when the rep sold me the PRO pac.  I can't seem to load the software on my phone.  I'm told to type "nav" from the seach window (from internet explorer) but there isn't one.  I used "Window's Live Search" but that didn't work either.  Anyone out there using Sprint Navigation with this phone?

Ok, it's not looking good.  I've found the "free software" at the sprint store.  The problem - when I log in and my phone comes up NOT AVAILABLE.  It looks like the phone is nto GPS capable....  If anyone has any additional info it wold be much appreciated.

Here is the answer to my own question:

You must txt "nav" to 777468(Sprint).  You will receive a return txt telling you to click on the link provided.  That will come back with the answer:  "You sprint handset is not supported at this time..."  After no less than 8 calls to sprint and 7 clueless reps, I got one who sounded like he knew what he was talking about.  The phone IS GPS capable but it looks like I'll have to find/buy some 3rd party software.

From a review I read before I bought the phone, it does have GSM capabilities but they require a ROM upgrade, similar to what has just been released for the Mogul.  Expect to see this in early 2008 (ie. soon), and then your phone will be GPS capable.

answer is no. the telenav software is free but you need a GPS receiver, newegg has a blutooth one for like $65. sucks but most PPC's don't have the GPS hardware. and alot of reps do not know that. with any carrier, only talk to a rep who has the phone you want for good info. too much for most to know.

I just subscribed to Sprint Nav (Seen here: http://blog.telenav.com/blog/2009/09/traveling-this-labor-day-use-sprint-navigation-to-find-your-way/) (or TeleNav ) and was wondering if there was any cheaper GPS software?
