All,

Carlos at FatAttitute has finally finished updating his Touch Setting application to work with the newer Sprint Touch phones... now you can swap programs and images on the Rotating cube (as well as better City choices in Weather app) without needing to hack the registry...

Download Touch Setting 1.29d from here: http://ww2.fatattitude.com/software/software-item.aspx?view=download

and for goodness sake buy the man a beer for his efforts!

great news...BUT...i just tried it, and it says that the installation was unsucessful because there is no "system permission." (or something along those lines...)

dang! I was excited too!

OK... no problem... you just didn't follow the directions.... You need to use a product like MemMaid (free download 15 day trial) to TERMINATE the BIOTOUCH and MEDIAHUBMINI (note I said process not program!)... once they are terminated you will be able to do the install... see this thread for other helpful hints...

Looks like several people are working on the same solution!!!  There is another solution posted at PPCGeeks.com.  I downloaded it this afternoon and have changed every button on my touch cube....it works GREAT!!!  You can change what the buttons point to and the icons, but you will need your own .brn files for different icons.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=12746

Read about it here.  The link to the download is there too.

ok so i added this app and it works great.

my only question is, where are the icon pictures (for programs like calulator and windows media player) located on my phone.  I have all the programs switched on the Media Hub, but i still have the Headphone, tv, and onDemand icons.

ok so i have been playing with this for awhile and this is what i figured out:

- the image to replace an icon must be a .brn image

- i still cant find the programs icons (i.e. the compass for google maps or the play button for windows media player) anywhere in the file explorer.

- does anyone know where i can find these icons modified into a .brn image so it will look good when i replace the programs on the cube?

thanks for any help.  and please feel free to let me know if what i typed makes sense.
