It is working. Look it up on ppcgeeks or xda developers. I aslo wrote about it on my blog if you want to check it out.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll wait a bit longer until I give it a try to let them make sure the kinks are worked out, but I'm pretty excited about it.

I wonder how long it will be until Sprint comes out with the official update?  Has anyone heard?  I would hate to do this and then find out I can't update when the Sprin one comes out.  Also,  did I read it right that you can't use SDHC cards with this update?

I installed the Alltel Rom and then I went to mustan's custom rom. My sdhc worked in both. 8gb sandisk.

Alltel worked well but seemed a bit slow.

Mustan's rom runs really well but there is a keyboard problem.

It works like a charm! THANKS!....Definitely a "tense" experience updating and it worked great....When Sprint gets their act in gear I will update then.....I also wanted to comment that the video does "seem" to be better.  Any ideas if this fixes the issues mentioned on http://htcclassaction.org ?

Thanks!!!

Kurt

A phone's ROM is the base operating system. In this case, someone has taken a ROM from another carrier that supports fasterinternet (EVDO Rev. A) and internal GPS. It's not as simple as just installing a program and there are some risks involved, so I would only recommend this for experienced users.

Everything that I have heard is they are going to release it in June.   They have it in QC now finalizing, but it should be good to go by the end of June.

Talked to a Sprint rep in the store just last week and asked this question. He also uses the Touch and is eager for it. But he said flat out that it was supposed to be released shortly after the update for the Mogul, but that didn't happen. Since then, there has been no indication of a new release date.

I hope June is right, but I'm not holding my breath. Frankly I'll be happy if I see it by the end of August.
