I have had great luck with Seidio products for my Treos 700p and 650. Mostly I used their extended batteries.
Looks like they have a 25% longer lasting battery, pen stylus and a few other things for the Touch right now with more to follow:

I just bought a seidio 1500 mAh battery that fits under the factory back cover today to see if there is a big difference in performance. If so I'll get my wife one.
I post my findings soon.

I got there 1500mAh batt. for Christmas and have been using in since. I have noticed a considerable difference in batt. life. By the end of the day I still have plenty of power to make it through most of the next day working conservatively, whereas before one full day was the max with the stock batt. Having used it for a couple of weeks now, I recommend it. Hope this helps.
I also got there extended stylus and enjoy using the stylus much more because I have long hands and the extra length though not much is really beneficial. All quality products.

I have bought generic, cheap batteries off Ebay for my other Cell phones and cameras and they are not worth messing with. Spend the extra money and get a good reliable pack. Other cheapies last a few months and they are worse than the factory worn out units.
You get what you pay for!!!

Thanks! I just ordered the 1500 mAh battery. Battery life and size are both big issues for me. Looks like this one is a good compromise.
I also bought an InvisibleSHIELD for the Touch for 50% off at http://www.zagg.com/showspecial
and an A-DATA 4GB MicroSDHC Class 6 for $36 at newegg.com

Got the battery and noticed that it is about 1/32" thicker than the factory 1100 mAh Battery so that makes it a snug, and I mean snug fit under the cover. But it fits without bowing the cover. Adds a touch bit more weight to it (pun intended!).
I'll let you know how it works out after I get about 4-6 charges through it.

Figures...
The 1500 version isn't exactly the same size. Putting the back cover on is a little difficult with the new battery. I'm a little worried about breaking it...
Haven't used it yet. Still charging up.

After much debate i decided to order the 2000 I figured that keep the stock one on and heavy days pull out the big gun.. that way I have a choice... I feel like no one agrees about the 1500 and that would be ideal although I have to admit the stock battery smokes the stock mogul battery.
let you know in a few days
